Based on the results of work for 2020, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP has fulfilled the production plan for ore mining by 100.76%. In total, 29 million 356 thousand tons of ore were mined (in 2019 – 30 million 696 thousand tons).
The average copper grade in ore mined for the year was 1.0%, against the target of 0.94%.
In total, in 2020, the processing plants of Kazakhmys processed 31.3 million tons of ore.
For 2020, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP produced:
- cathode copper – 258.360 thousand tons, exceeding the planned indicators by 745 tons, for the same period last year – 245.924 thousand tons, an increase of 12.436 thousand tons (+ 5.06%);
- gold bullion 5,950 kg, for the same period last year 4,428 kg., an increase of 1,522 kg (+ 34.4%);
- silver bullion and granules 262 184 kg, for the same period last year – 223 469 kg, an increase of 38 714 kg (+ 17.32%);
In 2021, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP plans to produce 243.8 thousand tons of copper in cathode equivalent.
